This culvert is made from concrete and is based on a small road culvert from the Menangle Park (NSW)

The kit contains two polyurethane castings and represent the precast concrete culverts that connect to the ends of the concrete pipe that are placed under driveways by the local council in the semi rural areas of Australia.

Hints & Tips

The culvert needs to be set into the scenery, with 0.040" styrene on top and between the two culvert sides, or a piece of styrene or brass tube can be used as in the prototype. The culvert needs to be painted and weathered prior to locating in place. The scenery material needs to be worked up to the edge of the culvert, and earth materials scattered around the ends of the pipes. Think laterially when locating reeds, weeds, and earth material around the culvert pipes. Think where the water would go so that run-off can be indicated, as well as sediment from the flood plain.
