This culvert is made from three corrugated pipes set into standard sandbags, filled with a sand /cement mix. It is based on a culvert from the Menangle Park (NSW)

The kit contains two polyurethane castings which can be used on any number of railway lines, ranging from a single track to multi tracks in wide.

Hints & Tips

The culvert needs to be set into the scenery, with 0.040" styrene on top and between the two culvert sides The culvert needs to be painted and weathered prior to locating in place. The scenery material needs to be worked up to the edge of the culvert, and earth materials scattered around the ends of the pipes. Think laterially when locating reeds, weeds, and earth material around the culvert pipes. Think where the water would go so that run-off can be indicated, as well as sediment from the flood plain.
