The S024 silo is an S008 with the addition of a 30' bin on each side of the workhouse (the bit in the middle). The modelling footprint (HO) measures 420 mm x 185 mm. 30 of these silos were built between 1928 - 1935. They have a storage capacity of 2,400 tonnes (90,000 bushels). The height of the bins is the same as the S008, at 64'and the the wall thickness is the same. These silos were know as an 'OLD 90'. This was done so as they were not confused with the S027 silo, which also had a capacity of 90,000 bushels.
